AGRA Foundations Limited (formerly Western Caissons Limited) has been associated with construction of pile foundations since the 1950’s, when Benjamin B. Torchinsky founded it in response to a need to construct deep foundations in Saskatchewan, Canada. AGRA Foundations is proudly celebrating its growth to the largest foundation engineering and construction company in Western Canada with offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg. Graduate professional engineers manage all of its offices.

Our philosophy is to install the most suitable and economical type of pile foundation system for site-specific soil conditions without compromising quality. We specialize in the construction of deep pile and caisson foundations which transmit structural loads through the soft erratic overburden soils, which prevail over most of the inhabited portion of Canada, into the underlying hardpan, glacial till or bedrock. Our capabilities also include shoring systems, limited access drilling equipment, churn drilling, vibro compaction and replacement, stone columns, and seismic foundation upgrading.
